1.907 meters beyond routine

To reach a sea level of 1.907m, you don’t necessarily need a car!
You can comfortably travel by train to “Ötztal-Bahnhof”. From there buses leave eight times per day to Sölden and three times per day to Vent.  Have you already heard of the special service from „Deutsche Bahn“? They will forward your luggage to any place you like.

For those who travel by car: take the  Ötztal road B 186 to Zwielstein and then turn on Vent road. The nearest airports are those of Innsbruck and Zurich.

How to get to Vent into the Ötztal

Arriving by car

Coming from the west: Vorarlberg – Arlberg-Pass or Arlberg Railway Tunnel (S16) – Tyrol – Landeck – Motorway A12 – Exit Ötztal – B186 – Direction Umhausen-Niederthai trough Ötztal until the exit of Vent. 

From the north: Bad Tölz – Achen Pass – B181 – Jenbach A12 – Innsbruck – Exit Ötztal – B171 until Ötztal – through Ötztal until the exit of Vent.
Or Garmisch-Partenkirchen – Ehrwald – Lermoos – Fern Pass – Imst – A12 – Exit Ötztal or Garmisch-Partenkirchen – Mittenwald – Scharnitz – Seefeld – Telfs – A12 – exit Ötztal– through Ötztal until the exit of Vent.

From the east: from Munich or Salzburg on the A93 to Kufstein, afterwards on the A12 over Innsbruck to Ötztal and then B186. Through the Ötztal to the exit of Vent.

From the south: coming from Merano/South Tyrol over the Timmelsjoch to the Ötztal B186.  High alpine toll road on 2.500 metres above sea level. 
Open from the beginning of June until middle/end of October!

 


 

Arriving by train or Bus:

No matter which direction you approach from, with the train you go to “Ötztal- Bahnhof” station, from where you can hop on the bus and go directly to Vent.
